THIS WEEK I GOT MY FIRST STRIP IN..
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 BJJ, a great personal moment and experience for me…
Why ?
Because it really, really out of my comfort zone, for a number of reasons…
I have never done any real Martial Arts in my life,
It’s very up close and personal, ie getting into people groin and armpit ,
It challenges me to be uncomfortable especially when someone heavier is looking to choke the life out of me, along with their dead weight on me…
It challenges my mobility (got a lot of work here to do here, even as a PT),
It expose a lot of weaknesses in my game both mentally and physically,
It challenges my brain to think under pressure and every class you’re a beginner as someone is always better than you.

Is the personal reinforcement of the 3- p’s Lessons.
Which I try to practice in anything I do in life especially when I feel Like giving up but also share with my clients,
When they start their own health and fitness journey with me, but more so when things aren’t going their way for one reason or the other.
The 3-P’s are 1-𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝟐-𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑-𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
These 3-P’s when implemented consistently can help you to achieve many things, both in and out of gym.
